Rihanna’s handlers have reportedly banned her from seeing beau Chris Brown while promoting her new single, “Take a Bow” in the U.K. A source told the Daily Mirror that the singer’s “people” don’t want her to relax and gain weight. “Her team feel that their ‘puppy love’could cause a distraction.”

After months of both parties playing coy, Rihanna finally acknowledged her relationship with Brown earlier this month. “We’ve always been friends,” the singer told Elle magazine. “But we’re very close now.” Brown denied having a serious romance Rihanna at the Kid’s Choice Awards in late March. “We’re not in a relationship or anything,” he told The Associated Press at the time.

This whole denying the relationship thing is old. We all (or I know) otherwise. But ordering them away from each other? You can’t tear up teenage/wreckless love; I hate to bring the bad news. People their age will find ways to be together and start rebelling.

“Relax and gain weight?” Rihanna has a long way to go before she starts to look obese. A little weight actually wouldn’t hurt the girl. People are a trip.
